Roller

The Roller is a bird similar to a Bee-eater or a Kingfisher in brilliance and coloration variance। The roller is aggressively nest defensive, and besides its rich coloring gets its name from aerodynamic avian flight maneuvers. With tiny claws and brilliant plumage, the wood nesting roller is a typical tropical bird personality of the African Savanna. But many differentiated types of the Roller are found worldwide.
The Blue Bellied Roller inhabits parts of Africa and displays a brilliant malachite blue underpart, turquoise touched wings, and a whole light and creamy buff colored head and mantle. The bright eyes and sharp beak makes this a delight for bird watchers. The Blue Bellied Roller might snack on a grasshopper between high perches.

The Lilac Breasted Roller is an astonishing sight for bird lovers. This bird is so named due to its rich light violet purple breast and under throat coloration. Both sexes have the same colored plumage. The Lilac Breasted Roller habitates in Africa and Arabia. The Lilac Breasted roller is not afraid of showing its astonishing brilliance of the top of coals, trees, or high perches. Lilac Breasted Rollers like to observe from high off the ground, searching for the activity of potential prey. Snails, frogs, scorpions, lizards, and other small birds and rodents fall into this category.
The Broad Billed Roller breeds in tropical Africa। The Broad Billed Roller does not like dry regions. Moist tropical open woodlands near water is the preferred habitat of this bird. The light colored bill and dark eye mask set the stage for dramatic coloring. The Broad Billed Roller is a rich, light chestnut color brown with navy under wings. This coloration astonishes bird enthusiasts observing the wingspan contrast in flight. The Broad Billed Roller hunts termites and ants, flock feeding. The Broad Billed Roller will take a drink of water by dipping its beak in the surface will still in overflight.
The European Roller inhabits a major part of central Asian nations as well as Europe and Morocco. The European Roller migrates long distances to nests, patrolling over many exotic and tropical trees and traveling through many Asian climates. Rollers have been compared to crows, but the European Roller is a much larger bird than that. In contrast, the Whiskery Indian Roller, or Blue Jay, is about a foot long.

Elements of the Roller as avian species are in flux। The long tailed Ground roller, with a habitat in Madagascar, has been cited as one of them more vulnerable of Roller populations। As is common in many tropical bird nesting habitats, open track nesting - or the building or organizing of nests on or aside roadways - leads to predictable egg and clutch loss. Effective conservation program will have to anticipate tropical nesting habits for species conservatio.
